Fundraising campaign FAQs
How do I start a fundraising campaign?
Click the “Start your fundraiser” button and fill in the short form. You can give your campaign a title, set a fundraising target and add a personal message for your supporters. It’s also a good idea to upload a photo, as campaigns with a personal picture usually receive more support.
After saving, you will receive an email with two links: one to share your campaign, and another one that allows you to edit your campaign at any time.
Can I edit my fundraiser once it's live?
Yes. After creating your fundraiser, you will receive an email with a link that allows you to edit your campaign at any time, for example the description, fundraising target or duration.
What happens if my fundraising target isn’t reached?
It’s completely fine if your fundraising target isn’t reached. The target is simply there as a guide, and every donation supports the work of the International Search and Rescue Dog Organisation, whatever the final amount.
Every contribution helps search and rescue dog teams prepare for missions to find missing and buried people, and truly makes a difference.
Can donors stay anonymous?
Yes. If a donor chooses not to enter their name, the donation will appear as anonymous and only the amount will be shown in the supporter list on your campaign page.
If a name is entered, it will be displayed together with the donation on the page.
Are online donations tax-deductible?
Donations to the International Search and Rescue Dog Organisation are tax-deductible in Austria. For this, the required personal details must be provided correctly, including the donor’s full registered name and date of birth.
We report this information once a year to the Austrian tax authorities so that the donation can be automatically considered for tax purposes.
