Training grounds
Re-opening on May 29th 2020!
Professional training needs extensive infrastructure. Mission-oriented training needs rubble fields as well as vast areas for basic training and for Area search and Tracking. As many organisations cannot meet these requirements, IRO members and interested parties can use the IRO training grounds in Ulrichsberg/Schöneben (AT). Because of its slight remoteness and terrain situation on site, the location is ideal for search and rescue dog work. Obstacles for training Ob/Dex are available again at the Training Grounds.
To enter a training appointment, please complete the registration form and send it to the IRO Office. An appointment will then be reserved for you, according to availability.
You can find all information about the training grounds in the information package below.
Due to recent breaches of the rules of usage we point out:
We care for a good relationship with our neighbors in Schöneben!
Bags for dog feces and garbabe are to be disposed in the rubbish bins – not in the bins of neighboring properties.
Should garbage or dog feces stay behind after the training, the organizers will be billed for the cleaning.
Participants may only stay in the areas designated in the info sheet.
You must not walk your dog or train on neighboring properties and gardens!
Deep hides must be closed daily after work.
Please also note the attached info sheet for rules of usage of the Training grounds.
Should the rules be breached, the IRO may bill the organizers an increased fee or ban them from the Training grounds.
