200 submissions by 43 designers from all around the world

 

The biggest umbrella organisation for search and rescue dog organisations is 25 years old.  The IRO Board has opened a new era by implementing a new design.  

 

The IRO represents 122 national search and rescue dog organisations from 42 countries worldwide. 122 good reasons why the IRO Board decided to hold an international logo contest. In this way the IRO could involve all committed members in this important and creative process. “The decision to not only modify the existing logo slightly but to choose a totally new design took some more courage, but we are very satisfied with the result and would like to thank all designers for their incredible effort. We are looking forward to a dynamic start and seeing our new logo in use worldwide,” says Vedran Vukomanovic, who is responsible for Marketing and PR on the IRO Board.

 

Sportive, dynamic, international

The winning logo asserted itself among over 200 submissions by 43 designers and will be in worldwide use as of 15.01.2019. The dynamic IRO logo with a forward moving dog profile is a symbol for continuous and positive development of the search and rescue dog discipline. The globe stands for the international network and exchange between SAR dog organisations from all over the world.
