The international mission situation has changed due to the necessity for the implementation of the minimum standards of the INSARAG criteria where only certificated USAR-Teams are sent in mission.
On international level, a delegation of experts, who are - centralised to a so called mobile OSOCC-group - quickly on site to value the situation and to demand international help is necessary. Skilled rescue dog-leaders of the IRO are part of this expert group.
On national level, off course, the IRO is part of numerous missions of its 110 member organisations in 38 countries.
